ATA participated at the 2016 edition of the 2BS FORUM, the annual high-level politico-security forum which is a leading International Forum in SEE organized by the Atlantic Council of Montenegro.
ATA President spoke in panel II “EU and Southeast Europe: Failure to protect borders” outlining that closing of borders is not the solution to stop migration but will only modify the flows. He emphasizes that Western countries need to work with our immediate neighbors and give protection to migrants. He concluded by saying that borders must be controlled and it is a duty of the EU to keep the borders monitored.
ATA SG moderated panel V “Confronting ISIL – one of the Biggest Challenges”, focusing on the role of Balkan countries in restricting the flow of people and materials to ISIL both into and out of the continent.
